12 oz. Choc flavored Candy Coating
1 12oz. pkg. butterscotch pieces ( about 2 cups)
1 12 oz. jar creamy peanut butter
1 c. butter
1/2 c.evaporated milk
1 3oz. pkg. regular vanilla pudding ( not instant)
1 T. maple flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. bag powdered sugar
3 cups. salted peanuts chopped

Directions:

Combine candy coating and butterscotch pieces and heat until melted. Stir in peanut butter. Spread 1 3/4 c of this mixture in a greased 15x10x1 pan. Refrigerate until set ( approx. 20 min) set aside remaining mixture. Melt butter, stir in evaporated milk and pudding mix. Cook and stir over med heat until thickened. Stir in maple flavoring and vanilla. Stir in powdered sugar. Carefully spread over coated choc mixture that is has been refrigerated. Reheat ( if needed) that remaining amount that was set aside. Stir in peanuts and then carefully spread over the pudding layer. Chill until fully set. Cut into pieces.

This is from Bert Rendfeld. She and Bob were the first couple we met when we moved to Sturgis in 1974. They were our best friends for many years. This recipe has also been known to cause great havoc in the Mike Van Meter household. So good, that he and Shelia tend to hide it from each other!!!
