3/4 c. cocoa powder
1 1/4 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a big sauce pan combine everything except the vanilla. Whisk together over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Allow to boil for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add in vanilla. Syrup will be very thin. Allow to cool completely and it will thicken to the same consistency as Hershey's syrup. Store in fridge. It will keep for several weeks.

Tastes exactly like the store bought variety in my mind. So much cheaper than buying Hershey's syrup in East Africa! I can now treat my kids to chocolate milk without breaking the bank.
