Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 c. milk
1 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
5 1/2 c. flour
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Combine milk, 1 c. water, butter, sugar and salt in saucepan. Bring to boil then remove from heat and let stand until lukewarm. If the mixture is too hot, it will kill the yeast. In a large bowl, stir together flour and yeast. Pour in wet ingredients and stir until dough starts to pull together. (In mixer, use dough hook and mix for 8 minutes.) If not using mixer, knead dough on floured surface for 10 minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let stand until doubles in size (about 1 hour). Oil hands and punch dough down. Divide into 12 portions. Make tight balls out of the dough by pulling the dough tightly around and pinching it at the bottom. Place on greased pan. After rolls sit for a minute, flatten each ball with the palm of your hand. Set aside until double in size (about 20 minutes). Mix egg yolk and 1 tbsp. water in small bowl. Brush onto tops of roll. Bake 20 minutes or until nicely browned.
