2 lbs. green beans
2 lbs. carrots
4.5 c. water
4 c. white vinegar
.5 c. kosher salt
.25 tsp. alum per jar
8 cloves garlic
8 tsp. dried dill weed

Directions:
Directions:
1. Wash beans, scrape carrots. Cut tips, then cut into lengths to fit jars. Cut carrots into sticks to fit jars. Pack into pint jars.

2. Combine water, vinegar, and salt in sauce pan. Bring to boil, lower heat, simmer 5 minutes. Ladle into jars.

3. Add 1 clove garlic, 1 tsp. dill, and .25 tsp. alum to each jar.

4. Seal and process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.
