1 cup oil
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 cups flour
l/2 t salt
1 t baking soda
4 cups finely diced apples
1 T flour
1 cup chopped nuts
1-1/4 t vanilla

Caramel Topping
1/2 cup oleo or butter
1 cup brown sugar (packed0
1/4 cup milk
Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool for a few minutes and spread on a cool cake

Beat together oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla. (3 minutes).
Mix together 2 cups flour, salt, and baking soda.
Add dry ingredients to oil mixture.
Stir in apples.
Combine nuts with 1 T flour, stir into batter.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2 pan
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until done.
