⅔ cup milk
½ package dates ( about 6 oz.)
1 cup pecans, chopped fine
1 tablespoon butter

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, milk and dates to soft boil stage. Remove and add butter and pecans. Beat until too thick to beat. Roll on wet kitchen towels and refrigerate. You will have several rolls. When ready to serve, slice to the desired thickness and serve.

Remember if you beat too long, it turns back to sugar. But beat it well.
