3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
12 soda crackers (saltines)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup pecans, chopped
3 pints strawberries
12 oz cool whip
powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
butter
Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar and vanilla. Roll 12 crackers in plastic bag, add baking powder to crumbs. Fold crumbs into egg whites. Fold pecans into mixture. Butter 13x9 pan. Fill with mixture. Bake 30 minutes at 325º. Cool, spread thin layer of cool whip. Add sliced strawberries that have been sweetened with powdered sugar. Top with rest of cool whip. Refrigerate for 3 hours.
