1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
3 tsp vanilla
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
5 1/2 cups flour

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cookies: With mixer, cream butter and sugar. Then add eggs and vanilla, After mixed, add sour cream. In a separate bowl, combine salt, baking soda and flour. Add to mixture slowly, until just combined. Roll out on floured surface to about 1/3 inch thick. Make sure they are thick! Use cookie cutters to create your cookies. Place cookies onto greased, parchment-lined cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 7 minutes. They will not look done but do not over bake. Once cooled they are ready for frosting. Frosting: In a mixing bowl, cream butter. Beat in sugar and vanilla until crumbly. Gradually add milk until frosting reaches desired consistency.
