1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
1 (10 ounce) package frozen strawberries (thawed)
1 (6 ounce) package strawberry Jell-O
2 sliced bananas
1 cup miniature marshmallows
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons butter
large container Cool Whip
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon coconut, divided

Directions:
Directions:
Drain pineapple, reserving 1 cup liquid and set aside. Prepare Jell-O according to package directions. Using 1 cup cold water. Stir in pineapple, strawberries, bananas and marshmallows. Pour mixture into 9 inch square pan. Put in refrigerator and chill until firm. Combine flour, sugar and salt in a small pan. Add reserved pineapple juice and butter. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens. Cool completely. Fold juice mixture into Cool Whip along with pecans and coconut. Spread mixture over chilled salad. Top with remaining coconut.
