1 onion finely chopped (about 2 tablespoons)
⅓ stick butter or margarine
2 packages frozen chopped broccoli
1 roll Kraft garlic cheese (replace with small jar of Cheese Whiz and 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 small can mushroom pieces and stems, drained (optional)
¾ cup bread crumbs

Preheat oven 325º

Brown onion in butter. Cook broccoli by directions. Drain broccoli from water if needed. Add cheese in with broccoli - stir until melted. Add onions, soups and mushrooms- mix. Put in buttered baking dish and top with bread crumbs. Bake at 325º degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Kraft has stopped making the garlic cheese roll. I now use the small jar of Cheese Whiz and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. It tastes the same.

Freezes well - freeze before cooking, thaw and bake.

Makes a 1 1/2 quart casserole
