2 t lemon juice
Dash salt
6 c smashed figs
3/4 c Jack Daniel Honey whiskey

Smash figs, ad lemon juice, salt and whiskey. Let sit for 30 minutes.
Add
1/2 c dices jalapeņo, 2 large

I don't like spicy, but I tasted the jam and wanted a little more bite and wanted it a little thicker, so I added:

2 t dehydrated jalapeņo
3 t pectin

Bring to small boil. Add to sterilized jars, then cover with hot lids. Place in hot water bath for 5 or so minutes.
