2 cans cream style corn
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. undiluted canned milk
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
1 tsp. granulated sugar (optional)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder (optional)
1 c. crackers, coarsely broken
1 lb. beef or turkey sausage, precooked - sliced

Directions:

Brown sausage and onion until sausage is cooked; drain and save 2 tablespoons of sausage drippings. Add sausage to casserole dish with corn. Blend sausage drippings with crackers in skillet over medium high; add milk, salt and simmer 2 or 3 minutes until mixture is thickened. Stir constantly. Pour over sausage and corn mixture. Mix. An optional top with cheese is nice. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
