3 C flour
2 C sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1/2 C cocoa
2 T vanilla
2 T vinegar
2/3 C salad oil
2 C water
6 T butter
1/2 C firmly packed light brown sugar
1 C confectioners sugar
1/2 t vanilla extract
1 1/2 T milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all of dry ingredients and pour into 9x13 baking pan
Make 3 holes for 2 T vanilla, 2 T vinegar, and 2/3 C salad oil
Over top pour 2 C H2O - stir well
Bake 350- 40 minutes or test with toothpick, until comes clean in middle

Penuche Caramel Icing:
Melt the butter over medium low heat in a small saucepan. Add the brown sugar and stir
until melted and blended with the butter. Slowly pour in the milk, mix well, and bring the
mixture to a boil. Scrape into medium bowl and cool 10 minutes. Add the confectioners
sugar and vanilla and beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Spread on cooled cake.
