1 c butter or margarine
1 c sugar
1 egg 1/2 c milk
2 c rolled oats
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Raisin Filling:
2 c raisins
2/3 c sugar
1 tsp almond extract
2/3 c hot water
2 tsp butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Add well beaten egg and milk. Sift flour, soda, salt and nutmeg directly into creamed mixture. Roll small amount of dough at a time, very thin on well floured board. (If dough is too soft, chill).
cut into 2 1/2 inch rounds. Spread half of rounds with raisin filling, top with another round. Press edges lightly together. Prick tops with fork.
Bake in 350º F oven for 10 or 12 minutes.

Raisin Filling:
Rinse and drain raisins and put through food chopper (or food processor). Combine all ingredients except extract and cook until thick. Cool and add extract.
