1/2 cup butter
1/2 pound mushrooms (drained and sliced)
1 cup wild rice
2 cups chicken broth, heated to boiling
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup water chestnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet; sauté mushrooms until tender and set aside. Place wild rice in a 1 and 1/2 quart casserole. Add hot chicken broth, water chestnuts, salt and remaining 2 tablespoons butter, cut in small pieces. Cover, bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Stir in mushrooms, cover and continue to bake 15 to 30 minutes longer, or until moisture is absorbed.
