3 slightly beaten eggs
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon lemon flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine the eggs, sugar, flour and butter in a bowl, and mix well. Add buttermilk, vanilla and lemon extract and mix. Pour into pie shell. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until pie is set and golden brown.

Your great-grandmother, Hassie C. Jones (grandmother's mother) made a pie that was very similar to this, and it was delicious. I don't like to drink buttermilk, but honestly you wouldn't know it was in the pie.
