pie crust or graham cracker crust; use preferred recipe or refrigerated crust
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
whipped topping (1 c. + 12 oz. container)
1 c. brown sugar
4 Tbsp. corn starch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. evaporated milk
3 beaten egg yolks
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. maple flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Place pie crust or graham cracker crust in 9x13 in. container and bake according to directions. Cool.
Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 c. whipped topping until smooth and mixed. Place over cooled crust
Mix brown sugar, corn starch, salt. Set aside.
Combine milk and evaporated milk and heat (Bonnie uses microwave, Mom recommends stovetop-- 2 qt. saucepan-- to monitor thickening). Mix warm milk, sugar mixture, and egg yolks. Stir over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and maple flavoring. Cool.
Spread cooled butterscotch filling over cream cheese mixture.
Spread full 12 oz. container of Cool Whip over the butterscotch mixture.
