1 2/3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs
1 c. pumpkin
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. walnuts
1/2 c. cut-up-dates

Directions:
Directions:
Sift first 8 dry ingredients into a large bowl. Put in next 4 liquid ingredients & beat well. Stir in nuts & dates.
Pour into 2 greased & floured loaf pans.
Bake at 325º for 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 hours. Test with a toothpick for doneness.

Freezes well. I have also made these in miniature loaf pans. You just need to reduce the baking time.
