1 c white sugar
3 egg yolks
1 c whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp butter
1 c pecan, chopped
1 c coconut

Directions:
Directions:
In a sauce pan add sugar, yolks, cream, vanilla and butter. Bring to a boil, cook until mixture begins to thicken. Remove from heat, add nuts and coconut.

Cool well. This filling is ideal for a two layered chocolate cake.

This filling was made for our two layer chocolate cake every time we made it, which was just about every week on the farm.
