2 ¾ cup flour
2 ½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp salt
⅔ cup shortening
1lb. Brown sugar
3 eggs
1 package semisweet mortals
1 cup walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Pre heat oven to 350
Grease 15" x 9" pan
Sift dry ingredients.
Melt shortening
Add brown sugar and blend well
Add eggs one at a time, beating well
Add sifted dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate bits
Bake for 35 minutes
Cool, cut into squares
