1 package (10 ounce) frozen strawberries (thawed)
1 cup sugar
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 pint whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 10-inch baked pie shell

Directions:

1. Beat first 5 ingredients 15 minutes or longer until it holds it's shape (stiff).

2. Whip cream stiff, add vanilla, and fold into the first mixture.

3. Pile lightly into pie shell.

4. Freeze for several hours or overnight.

On the paper coy of this recipe that Aunt Martha sent to me, she wrote, "If you have too much filling for the pie shell, you can put excess in custard cups for little individual servings. Keep in freezer."
