Pastry for 2-crust pie

4 cups fresh berries (blackberries, huckleberries, blueberries etc.)
1 cup sugar
2 T. flour or corn starch or tapioca
2 T. lemon juice
1 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine berries, and everything else except butter and pour onto pastry lined pie plate. Dot with butter and bake at 450 F ten minutes, then reduce heat to 350 F and bake 25 to 30 minutes longer.

If too juicy, increase the flour to 3 T. next time.

The most awesome pie of all is made with those timy wild blackberries that grow in the Pacific Northwest, followed closely by blackcaps from the Interior of BC.

Try one of those foil sheets on one of the lower shelves of the oven to save the oven from drippings.
