"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Directions:
Combine flour and salt. Cut in lard with a pastry blender or your fingers until the pieces are about the size of peas.
In a measuring cup combine vinegar and egg, then add ice-cold water to make 1 cup of liquid. Gradually add to flour mixture, stirring with a fork.
Gather into a ball and refrigerate until ready to use, or roll and cut into pie shells.
I gather mine into 6 small balls and roll between parchment paper into 6 pie crusts. I use them immediately or else set them between parchment paper circles in a plastic pie saver, which I freeze for future use. It will keep a couple of days in the refrigerator, but no longer. it is great to have pastry ready for an almost instant dessert.

Personal Notes:
This is the recipe printed on the Tenderflake Lardİ box. It is almost impossible to have a failure as it can be gathered up and re-rolled if necessary.
The best pastry of all is made using this recipe and lard from a bear rather than a pig.
