1 c. mashed potatoes
1 egg, beaten
1 c. flour
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix potatoes, flour and beaten egg. Add salt and pepper to taste. On a well floured board, form into a roll and cut into 1/2 inch pieces.

Drop into salted boiling water (like for macaroni) and boil until all knydli come to the top, stirring occasionally with wooden spoon to prevent sticking. Drain and toss with melted butter (also can put fried onions and bread crumbs or cottage Cheese just before serving) chopped fried bacon is great too!
