1 c. white flour
¾ c. whole wheat flour
½ c. packed brown sugar
1c. buttermilk
1 t. salt
1t. baking powder
½ t. baking soda
1 egg
1/3 c. melted margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, brown sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Beat egg, buttermilk, and margarine together in a bowl. Pour at once into flour mixture, mixing as little as possible while still moistening flour. Batter will be lumpy. Spoon into 12 greased muffin cups. Bake for about 25 minutes at 400 degrees or until golden brown.
