1 cup white cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup milk
2 T. flour
1 T. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Add salt to cornmeal, scald with boiling water until every grain swells. Add milk very gradually, until batter is a little thicker than pancake batter,

Bake on a slightly greased skillet, allowing more time than pancakes. Let cook thoroughly on one side before turning over.

Makes 16 small cakes.
