Ingredients: 6 oz uncured turkey bacon (like Applegate) 8 oz self-rising flour pinch salt couple dashes of pepper 1 oz softened organic butter 4 oz of your favorite cheese shredded (Asiago, Manchego, etc.) 1/3 pint organic milk 1 tablespoon ketchup 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon organic milk for glazing

Directions:1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Cook the bacon until crisp & cut into small pieces.
3. Mix the flour & salt together. Add the butter and rub together with your fingers until the mixture has the consistency of fine bread crumbs. Add the bacon and 1/3 of the cheese.
4. Mix the milk, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce and add to the dry ingredients to make a soft dough.
5. On a floured board, roll out a 7 inch circle. Brush with milk and cut into 8 wedges. Arrange on a greased baking tray and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
6. Bake in the center of the oven for 20 minutes. |

Notes: Served this at an International pot-luck at church and everyone lucky enough to get a piece, loved it! Recipe originated in Scotland and called for orkney cheese and ayrshire bacon. The original title was, "orkney cheese and ayrshire bacon cake."
