½ cup butter
½ cup sugar
1 egg separated
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
¾ cup walnuts, finely chopped or ground

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk and beat well. Add vanilla. Stir in flour until dough is smooth.

Make tiny balls; roll in unbeaten egg white and then in chopped nuts.

Using a floured thimble, make an imprint in the centre. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes. Fill indent with small amount of jam once baked.
