Directions:

Add about 1 teaspoon salt to water. Add a small amount of butter in order to prevent from boiling over. Cook potatoes in water until done. Heat milk with butter added. Coarsely mash potatoes with mixer. Add heated milk mixture. Mix with mixer until creamy.

Mashing the potatoes is usually Crystal's job as she ensures they are very creamy without lumps. There is a family controversy over the definition of mashed versus whipped potatoes. Jason prefers potatoes (skins on) mashed by hand.
