1 c. Granulated Sugar
1 c. Powdered Sugar
1 c. Butter, room temp.
1 c. Oil, Canola
2 Eggs, beaten
4 1/2 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift Sugars together.
Cream butter and sifted sugars, all oil, eggs and vanilla, Beat well.
Sift dry ingredients (twice is better)
Add to first mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls of cookie dough onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten with a small glass dipped in oil then sugar.
Sprinkle with colored sugar if desired.
Bake at 350º for 12 minutes

The secret to these cookies is the sifting of the sugars and dry ingredients. I sift them twice.
If the eggs are small, I use 3.
