Directions:
Peel, chunk and boil potatoes in salted water on stove until done. Fry the chopped onion in a small amount of oil until golden brown. Add ground beef and fry until fully cooked. Stir in any seasonings to the beef (minced garlic, ketchup, barbeque sauce, beef or steak spice, etc.) Spread in the bottom of a large baking dish. Layer vegetables over the beef.

Drain and mash potatoes. Add butter and milk. Use a potato masher or mixer. Spread potatoes over the vegetable layer. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes. During the last 5 minutes of baking time, may sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Sprinkle crushed crackers or potato chips to add crunch.

Personal Notes:
For a more seasoned and gravy-like consistency -- stir two tablespoons flour into meat after browning. Add 2 cups water, salt, pepper, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce and 2 tablespoons tomato paste. Simmer until thickened.
