Ingredients:  
1/4 lb softened butter
2/3 cup sugar
4 eggs plus 1 additional yolk
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 jigger whiskey or brandy
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all dry ingredients, make a well, beat eggs and combine with other liquids

Work the butter into the dry ingredients and work the balance of mixture into the dough. Knead the dough until smooth and let rest for 20 minutes

Roll out dough, cut into strips 1 1/2 inch wide and not too thick, deep fry, cool and sprinkle with confectionery sugar

If using honey bring to a boil with 1/4 cup sugar to 10 oz honey stirring until sugar dissolved

Per Grandma "Much easier to sprinkle the confectionery don't you think" Voila!!! All Done!!!
