2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg plus 3 yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 stick butter
1 tablespoon sugar
dash salt
4 tablespoons brandy or rum
1 tablespoon grated orange or lemon peel
1/2 cup slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Mix wet ingredients and dry ingredients in separate bowls. Add dry ingredients to wet mixing well.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes, cut into 4 balls, roll dough into strips, create balls, then lightly coat in flour and fry until lightly browned.

In large saucepan, combine honey and sugar. Bring to a boil until sugar is dissolved, add lemon or orange peels, then coat cookies and add slivered almonds.

Add sprinkles or powdered sugar if desired
