1/2 large onion, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
2-3 garlic cloves, minced
1-2 T. olive oil
1 10 3/4-oz. can tomato puree
1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
3 T. honey
6 peppercorns, crushed, or 1/2 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1 bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
Saute first 3 ingredients in olive oil in a large saucepan for 10 minutes or until tender. Stir in tomato puree and remaining ingredients; bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour. Remove and discard bay leaf.
