8 quarts popped corn
1 c margarine or butter
2 c brown sugar
1/2 c light Karo syrup
1/2 t salt
1/2 t cream of tartar
1 t soda

Directions:
Directions:
Place popped corn in large oven proof pan (like a roaster). In medium saucepan, bring margarine or butter, brown sugar, and karo to a boil and boil for 3-5 minutes. Stir in salt, cream of tartar, and soda. The mixture will foam up and get quite large. Stir it quickly into the popcorn. Bake at 225-250º for 1 hour STIRRING EVERY 15 MINUTES. Turn out onto waxed paper and gently separate into small chunks or individually.
