2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
6 cloves garlic thinly sliced
6 tbsp butter
1 1/3 c slivered almonds, chopped walnuts, pecans or hazelnuts, toasted
1/4 c lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt

Optional:
Raisins or dried cranberries

Directions:
In a pot, cover beans with a small amount of salted water and cook for 10 to 15 minutes or until crisp-tender, drain.

In a small skillet, cook garlic in hot butter until tender and lightly golden. Add to the beans along with the nuts, lemon juice and salt. Toss. Top with raisins or cranberries.
