1 cup shortening
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup warm water
2 (16 ounce) packages confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine shortening, salt, vanilla, water and confectioners' sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.

Enough frosting to frost 2 nine inch layer cakes.

To make Chocolate frosting; add 2/3 Cup cocoa powder.

Salt may be cut in half.
