Personal Notes:
This is Grandma Richter's recipe. She made a lot of this when Papaw and I were first married and always gave us several jars. We both loved it so I started making it, too. Grandma was a wonderful cook and I learned a lot from her through the years.

This picture of the whole family minus Papaw and Bernard, who were in the Army at the time, brings back many memories. They all accepted me as part of the family even though Papaw and I weren't even engaged yet. This is when they lived way out in the boonies is a run down 4 room house that Grandma made into a home with lots of love. She had a hard life and never had much but she was always smiling and happy no matter what life brought her way.
