Cake:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 sticks margarine or butter
4 level T cocoa
1 cup water
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk

Icing:
1 stick margarine or butter
4 T cocoa
6 T milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

Cake:
Sift together sugar and flour in large bowl. Set aside.
Mix in sauce pan over medium heat the margarine or butter, cocoa and water. Bring mixture to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour mixture and stir until well mixed. Add the remainder of cake ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased 9 x13 pan and bake 40 minutes at 400 degrees.

Icing:
Begin making 5 minutes before cake is done. Melt margarine or butter, cocoa and milk and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1 box powdered sugar, vanilla, and pecans. Beat well and spread on hot cake.
