Personal Notes:
I don’t ever remember eating store bought bread on the farm. Mom always made 10 loaves and I’m sure when Jordy, Brenda and I would arrive home from school and it was still cooling on the table we three would eat a whole loaf before supper! Poor mom, I wonder if she ever got ahead!!. My kids have grown up with the same homemade bread tradition (although I have adapted it to only 5 loafs and use instant yeast because it’s more convenient and because it’s real annoying when you have the other yeast rising and forget to add it to the ingredients!!). Proud to say my son Cory is carrying on this ‘bread’ tradition today.
