pinto beans
6 slices bacon
1 onion
dash of ginger

Jiffy Cornbread mix - make as package directs

Glory Seasoned Mixed Greens
butter
salt & pepper
Trappey's Peppers in Vinegar (just a squirt of juice)

Cooked macaroni with a can of stewed diced tomatoes and a can of tomato sauce

Directions:
Rinse dry pinto beans and place in large pot. Fill with water to an inch or so above beans. Boil pinto beans in water with bacon, onion, and ginger. Cook until tender.

You can also slow cook 6-8 hours in a crock pot.

Grandma Irby loved a country dinner with a big pot of pinto beans seasoned with bacon, onion, salt, pepper, and a dash of ginger. Served with cornbread, greens and mac & tomatoes. Slice an onion on the side and she was a happy camper!
