1 1/2 Cups Yellow Split Peas
1 Small Pc Salt Beef
2 Stalks Chopped Celery (Optional)
1 Chopped Onion
2 Cups Chopped Carrots
2 Cups Chopped Turnip

Dumplings:
1 Cup Flour
1 1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
Water

Directions:
Directions:
Add peas, cubed salt beef, onion and celery to a medium pot and boil for about and hour, then add the carrot and turnip and continue to boil for another 45 min.
Dumplings : In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Add water, a little at a time and stir until a very thick batter is formed. Drop prepared dumpling mixture by tablespoons into the soup, cover and cook for an additional 15 mins. Do not remove cover while dumplings are cooking.
