2 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. pecans, finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 F. Beat egg whites until foamy; slowly add the sugar and vanilla and beat until stiff. Add the chocolate chips, and pecans.

Drop by teaspoon on a lightly greased cookie sheet and place in oven. Turn off oven and leave for 5 hours.

Mom (Aunt Margaret) would always make these for Christmas. She did plain ones with just one chip on top for the people that did not like nuts...which were all of my kids! Always a nurse, she told me they were getting protein and no fat!
