1/4 1lb. of Butter (1 Stick)
1 C. Milk
4 Eggs
2 C. Sugar
2 C. Flour
2 t. baking powder
2 t. Vanilla
1/4 t. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat butter and milk in a small sauce pan just until butter is melted, do not boil.
Mix eggs, sugar and vanilla with a mixer until blended. In separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder and salt together and add to sugar mixture alternately with warm milk mixture. Batter will be thin. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake @ 350 for 45 - 50 minutes. Let cool.

Serve plain with fresh fruit and whipped cream or raspberry sherbet. Cake can also be glazed or iced.

*Two 9" cake pans or 1 9x13 pan can be used.*
