3 ozs. bitter chocolate
2 C. milk
1 C. sugar
1/4 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 baked 8" pie shell
1/2 C. sugar
1 tsp. vinegar
4 egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Cut chocolate into small pieces, add milk and place on low heat until chocolate is melted. Beat until mixture is blended. Combine sugar, flour and salt. Add to slightly beaten egg yolks. Slowly pour chocolate mixture over yolk mixture, stirring constantly. Return to low heat and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add butter and vanilla. Cool. Pour into baked pie shell. Cover with meringue or whipped cream.
Meringue: Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until sugar dissolves. Add vinegar and beat until mixed. Pile on top of pie and spread making sure meringue touches pastry. Place in preheated 400 degree
oven 15-25 minutes.
