Filling:
1 tin condensed milk, 2 egg yolks (save whites for topping), juice and rind of 4 lemons (approximately – enough to make tangy).

Topping:
Beat egg whites until dry and fluffy. Add sugar (about ½ cup – enough to make nice and stiff).

Directions:
Directions:
Place sheet of short pastry in bottom of slice tin. Cook in oven till brown.

Beat together filling ingredients. Fill cooked pastry shell.

Pile egg white mixture on top of filling and put in medium oven until meringue is brown.

Cool. Serve with whipped cream.
