1 cup dates, figs, or prunes
1 cup almonds, cashews, or macadamias
2 tbsp. peanut butter, olive, or coconut oil
Pinch of salt
Water for consistency

Pulse chosen ingredients in food processor until it comes together in a clump. If overprocessed, it can become extra sticky.

Smooth mixture onto wax paper, pressing with either your hands or rolling pin into desired thickness.

Refrigerate for 10+ minutes to make it easier to cut into bars.

Good for 1-2 weeks in airtight container at room temperature or much longer in the fridge.

Variations:

Reduce dates, figs, or prunes to ½ cup and add 1 cup of granola or secondary dried fruit.

Nuts can be replaced with granola, pumpkin or sunflower seeds.

Add other flavors like these examples!
- 2 tbsp. cocoa powder, lemon or orange zest
- ¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut or chocolate chips
- ½ tsp. vanilla or mint extract
