"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 egg
2/3 c brown sugar
1/2 c apple butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 c honey
1/3 c apple cider
1/3 c plain yogurt
2 tbsp canola oil (plus a little extra for greasing your don't pan)
powdered sugar for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º and grease a donut pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. In another large bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients (these are all your wet ingredients). Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredient mixture and whisk until just incorporated. Don't over-mix! A few lumps are okay; they won't show in the final product.

Spoon the batter into each donut mold until about 3/4 full. Bake for approximately 12 minutes and cool on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar and serve with tea, cidar or black coffee.

Can also bake in mini muffin pan 3/4 full for 10-12 minutes. While warm roll in cinnamon sugar.
