1 "Honey Baked Ham" bone; all eatable ham removed
1 16 oz. pkg. pinto or cranberry beans
2-3 bouillon cubes
8 c. water
1/4 tsp. onion powder (optional)
1/4 tsp. garlic powder (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Open and remove any deformed/blackened beans, pebbles, etc. Wash and rinse beans thoroughly several times in cold water using a colander. Soak beans in clean water overnight.

Next morning pour excess water off and gently rinse beans. Place bone, 2 bouillon cubes (a 3rd cube can be added later for taste, if needed), beans, water in large pot with lid. Cook on low for 7-8 hours. Stir gently occasionally. Add onion and garlic powder after approximately 4-5 hours for taste if needed. More powders may be added to suit taste.
