Cake:
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 cup milk
2 cups plus 2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
5 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Filling:
1/2 cup butter
1-1/4 cup confectioners sugar
2 cups marshmallow creme or fluff
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, egg yolks. Add milk, flour, baking soda, cocoa, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Drop small circles of this on baking sheet to make the cakes. Bake about 15 minutes at 400-degrees.
For the filling, mix butter, confectioners sugar, vanilla and marshmallow creme or fluff; beat with mixer. Fill 2 cake rounds with filling for each whoopie pie.
